The complainants said they were deeply hurt after hearing the alleged derogatory speeches by Tamil actors against journalists and their families. The petition has been admitted and the judge has posted the case for hearing Nov 13.

The battle began after the police arrested Dinamalar news editor for publication of a news report carrying names and photos of leading actors in Tamil cinema allegedly involved in prostitution.
